The goal of this project was to create three animal inspired button pins based on photo research and exploration of Essential Characteristics, such as Shape and Sequential cues. 

 

My concept focuses on the common barn owl a creature that I have a personal connection with since grown up on a farm I remeber seeing them all the time when I was younger. I chose th focus on the owls head, its feather, and its nocturnal nature for the elements on each of the buttons.

 

Each of these elements has a reptitive spiral pattern to help connect the concepts and fill in extra negative space.
